How long is a check-up?
Forty minutes. We don't double-book, so you're never rushed through.
How often should I come?
Most people do well on 6–12 monthly visits. We'll recommend a spacing that suits your mouth, not a default recall.
Fillings & restorative

Tooth-coloured fillings done gently, with numbing that actually gets time to work.
- Composite (white) fillings matched to your tooth

Will it hurt?
We numb first and check it's working before we start. If anything feels off you raise a hand and we stop — that's the deal.
Do you replace amalgam fillings?
When they're failing, yes. We won't recommend replacing sound amalgam just for the sake of it.
Root canal treatment

Per canal, staged. Crown quoted separately if needed.

Is a root canal painful?
The infection is what hurts. The treatment is done fully numb, and most people describe it as tedious rather than painful.

How many visits does a crown take?
Two, about two weeks apart — preparation and fit. We'll give you both appointment times when you book.

Will whitening damage my enamel?
Dentist-supervised whitening is safe for enamel. Sensitivity can happen — we manage it with a slower protocol and remin gel.
Extractions & wisdom teeth

When a tooth genuinely has to go, we make it as uneventful as possible.

Do you do sedation?
We offer oral sedation for anxious patients and refer to trusted colleagues for IV sedation when it's the right call.

Free
Under-18 basic care is government funded.
Free basic care for under-18s, and ACC-covered treatment for dental injuries.

My child is nervous — how do you handle first visits?
The first visit is a ride in the chair and a count of their teeth. Nothing happens without their buy-in. It works.
